Whether you are a new member, a familiar face or just visiting for the day, we welcome you to Nottaway Swim Club for 2009. Throughout the season, visit this site to check the latest pool news, view scheduled club events, swim team practices and meets, check local weather and so much more. Please take a few minutes to look around and become familiar with the site and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
July 4th Parade and Celebration NSC annual 4th of July Celebration will take place this coming Saturday, July 4th. Please join your neighbors and friends to celebrate Independence Day Nottaway style.
The neighborhood Independence Day parade begins at 11:00am at Holy Cross Church parking lot, so be there a few minutes early. The parade should last about 30 minutes then end up at the pool. Pool opens at 11a and the first contest will be the splash contest at 11:45a. Lunch is served from 12p to 1:30p. Mrs. Winners chicken, mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, biscuits, tea and lemonade. $5 a plate for adults, $3.50 for children 12 and under. $2.00 beers will also be served. Games will run until 4:30p and the pool closes at 6p so we can all catch the fireworks. See you on the 4th and happy Independence Day. Dinner n' Dip
What better way to finish a day than by having dinner and drink by the pool. Dinner N' Dip officially
begins in June
. Join your fellow NSC club members for special food-themed events or for traditional grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, side dishes and desserts provided by our volunteers. Barring weather or cancellation, Dinner N' Dip normally takes place on
Thursdays at 6:30pm
and usually lasts until the lifeguards kick us out. All proceeds benefit the Nottaway Newts Swim Team.
